Knowing that incarceration is a tough time for those confined and for those at home, our prison ministry volunteers are committed to giving encouragement to inmates with in-prison visitations and post-prison counseling. We offer Bible teaching and studies during our prison visitations, hoping to seek transformation of the prisoners and reconciliation to God, their families and their communities.
In addition, our congregation faithfully participates in the Prison Fellowship Angel Tree project each year.
Angel Tree
Prison Fellowship’s Angel Tree ministry serves the children of prisoners at Christmas. In early fall, incarcerated dads and moms can sign up to have church volunteers deliver gifts to their children at Christmas (volunteers contact the at-home parent or caregiver to make sure that’s O.K.). The Christmas gifts are presented as being from the mom or dad in prison—assuring the children that they haven’t been forgotten! The parent in prison is the one who has to sign the children up, so if you’d like your kids to receive gifts delivered by caring volunteers, encourage your incarcerated loved one to contact the prison chaplain about Angel Tree. Do not contact Fountain of Life Center directly. The request has to be made by the inmate through the prison chaplaincy program.
Following is a list of the N.J. prisons we are presently serving:
