Pastor Randy first attended Fountain of Life Center (formerly called Burlington Assembly of God) in 1969. As a young child he and his family lived with his grandmother and heard about the church from his uncle, Morris Loveland. Randy came to church through the bus ministry outreach and remembers later attending the Saturday night “Jesus People” meetings with David Boudwin (now Pastor Dave).
Pastor Paul Graban and Sister Graban  were strong influences on Randy and Pastor Graban became a father figure to Randy during his teen years. Randy was the first graduate of Life Center Academy in 1977.
After college graduation, Randy returned to the Fountain of Life Center with his new bride, Debra (also a graduate of Southeastern). Randy felt called to support the ministry work under the leadership of Pastor Graban and to learn from his wisdom and this continues to remain one of the strongest leadings from God in Randy’s life. Debra has been a vital part as his helpmeet, as well as a former teacher at Life Center Academy and presently serving as the Executive Assistant to Pastor Paul Graban.
 Pastor Randy officially became part of the pastoral staff in 1984, and was ordained by the Assemblies of God in 1995. In addition to the responsibilities of an Associate Pastor and Music Director for the church, Pastor Randy is the Building and Grounds Facility Manager, on a campus of 106 acres that include the church building, Life Center Academy, Little Angel Preschool, a fitness and event center, and a sports complex with indoor basketball and soccer.
Fountain of Life Center is well known for its theatrical productions and Pastor Randy is the gifted director for the Easter production, “He Is Alive!” and “A Christmas Spectacular”. These productions have drawn thousands to see them each year and multitudes have come to accept the Lord through this theatrical outreach.
In August, 2009, Pastor Randy and Debra celebrated  their 25th wedding anniversary. One of Pastor Randy’s favorite quotes from Pastor Graban is “Be a part of the answer and not part of the problem.” Together, with their three daughters, the Bercaw family continues serving at the Fountain of Life Center in whatever way they can to help others and to share the love of Jesus. |
